Benaroya Selects Lee Technologies To Operate South Hill Data Center Facility Top data center operator to manage new LEED Gold data center in Seattle area
FAIRFAX, Va. & SEATTLE--Lee Technologies, a Schneider Electric company and complete data center solutions provider, announces it has been awarded a two-year contract by BCC Puyallup LLC, a regional data center owner and operator consisting of a collaboration among The Benaroya Company, Real Property Investors LLC and O'Keefe companies to operate and maintain the newly completed 300,000-square-foot, enterprise-focused South Hill Data Center facility in Puyallup, Wash.
"Lee Technologies has a strong reputation as a leading provider of data center operations and maintenance for some of the largest organizations in the world, and it's that kind of top talent and expertise that we wanted in order to ensure the highest level of service and reliability for our customers," says Larry Benaroya, principal of The Benaroya Company.
A LEED Gold-certified facility, the South Hill Data Center provides tenants with a flexible, highly reliable and energy-efficient facility. The fully commissioned, in-place, state-of-the-art infrastructure allows this facility to scale from 150 to 260 per square foot while boasting an annual average PUE of 1.32.
The 300,000-square-foot South Hill Data Center is also customizable and expandable to meet any user's current and future needs. The facility is fully equipped to handle the rapidly expanding demands of the data storage and retrieval, disaster recovery, and cloud computing markets: It currently delivers 8.6 megawatts of critical load to the data center floor and is expandable to 20 megawatts or even more if needed. An additional 174,000 square feet of space with similar capacity is available in cold-shell condition, ready to be built out, in an adjacent building. The secure, 92-acre South Hill campus also includes space for on-site containers for added flexibility and scalability.
"We're excited to be partnering with Benaroya to provide their customers at South Hill Data Center with maximum uptime through a high-quality operations and maintenance program. South Hill is one of the most impressive and innovative data center projects in the country," says George Newstrom, president and COO of Lee Technologies.
Lee Technologies has more than 25 years of critical facility operations and maintenance experience and is currently responsible for managing many of the world's largest data centers. The company is active in developing innovations for energy- and cost-efficient data centers and is engaged in multiple projects involving LEED-certified data centers.
