Can I Trust the Cloud?
Harris Corporation and Lee Technologies Host Exclusive Webinar to Introduce Patented Trust Enablement Technology and the Trusted Enterprise Cloud
WHAT: Lee Technologies and Harris Corporation are hosting an exclusive webinar -- Can I Trust the Cloud? --featuring Wyatt Starnes, a recognized cloud innovator, industry leader and select member of the Presidential Cloud2 Commission. Mr. Starnes will discuss the challenges of cloud computing and introduce patented trust enablement technologies as part of the Trusted Enterprise Cloud hosting solution.
WHEN: Wednesday, July 20, at 2pm EST. Register to attend here.
WHO: Wyatt Starnes, vice president of advanced concepts of Harris Corporation and former CEO of SignaCert and Tripwire, will discuss best practices in cloud computing and walk through development of Harris’ award-winning Cyber Integration Center, which was developed in partnership with Lee Technologies. Wyatt is also selected as Commissioner on TechAmerica Foundation's CLOUD2 Commission to provide Obama Administration with recommendations on cloud computing deployment and innovation. The webinar will also feature Anthony Rizzo, senior vice president of public sector of Lee Technologies.
WHY: Cloud computing is no longer a question of “if” but “when”. The challenge is we need the “how”. Recent issues regarding cyber security – particularly in complex enterprises and government organizations – have raised concerns about the reliability and security of this new data center hosting option. This webinar provides insights and real-world technologies to address these concerns from one of the most experienced and innovative pioneers in the industry.
“Cloud computing can be an engine of growth for business and government enterprises – or it could stall at the gate,” said Starnes. “We are hosting this webinar to start a dialogue with IT and business leaders about new trust enablement technologies that can make cloud computing enterprise-ready.”
WHAT ELSE: Recent recipients of the prestigious Tier III certification and the 2011 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards, presented by Uptime Institute, Harris Corporation and Lee Technologies have formed an innovative partnership, pushing the application of data centers and cloud computing forward with the Harris Trusted Enterprise Cloud. The 100+ members of the Uptime Institute – mostly Fortune 100 companies – sponsor research and share best practices on data center facilities, the IT and facilities interface, and how both functions affect the cost, reliability and energy consumption of computing.
“Harris Corporation is creating the next generation of cloud services and Wyatt Starnes is one of their leading voices,” says Rizzo. “The Trusted Enterprise Cloud can extend and enhance current enterprise IT architectures bringing new levels of operational efficiency and agility.”
