Press Release Lee Technologies Supports the Underprivileged With $90K in Charitable Giving in 2010
Leader in data center operations gives back to community, encourages employee charitable contributions
Fairfax, Va., Dec. 15, 2010 — Lee Technologies, the leading provider of complete data center solutions and resources to some of the most information-reliant corporations and government organizations in the world, has donated $90,000 in 2010 to numerous organizations benefiting education, the homeless and the underprivileged.
“It is extremely important to give back to those in need in our community, not only during the holidays, but also throughout the year,” says John C. Lee IV, Lee Technologies’ chairman and CEO. “We encourage all our employees companywide to give back, both in terms of time and of money, through our ‘Commitment to Community’ and ‘Making a Difference’ programs.”
With the Commitment to Community program, Lee Technologies’ employees can volunteer one paid half-day per month to the charity of their choice. When an employee donates 10 hours of volunteer time, Lee Technologies will also donate $250 under the Making a Difference program. The company also has a standing gift-matching program in which it will match any charitable gift greater than $250, up to $500 per employee.
In 2010, Lee Technologies and its more than 300 employees donated $90,000 to various charitable organizations, including Amnesty International, Community Coalition for Haiti, Rebuilding Together and SOME (So Others Might Eat). Most recently, Lee Technologies aided the Toys for Tots annual toy drive in its collection and distribution process on two separate occasions.
