Lee Technologies Grows Public Sector by More Than 50 Percent, Promotes Rizzo to Senior Vice President
National leader in complete data center solutions expands work in cybersecurity and intelligence; helps agencies support OMB drive for efficiency
Fairfax, Va., Aug. 30, 2010 - Lee Technologies, the leading provider of complete data center solutions and resources to some of the most information-reliant corporations and government organizations in the world, today announced the promotion of Anthony Rizzo to senior vice president of its public sector division - which has grown revenue by more than 50 percent over last year by supporting the Department of Defense and other federal, state and local government organizations.
"Tony has led a team that has worked tirelessly to produce a record year in government sales for the company," said George Newstrom, chief operating officer of Lee Technologies. "He built a team of professionals that has quickly enabled us to become a major resource for federal organizations and government integrators in the critical data center infrastructure arena."
Within the last year, Lee Technologies' public sector division has worked closely with a number of major partners in the Washington, D.C., area to support cybersecurity and data center consolidation efforts for a variety of federal customers, including the Department of Defense.
The need for government data center development and support is at an all-time high. Government agencies are working to meet the growing demands for more data center capacity while also striving to address new federal mandates for consolidation and energy efficiency. In fact, today is the deadline for agencies to submit to the Office of Management and Budget their final data center consolidation plans, which were requested in a February memo from Vivek Kundra, the federal chief information officer.
"This is an exciting time to be developing data center solutions for government," said Rizzo. "A broad range of agencies are in critical situations, faced with limited data center resources, and we have the unique advantage of being able to provide a thorough assessment of those critical situations and also deliver a complete set of highly energy-efficient and sustainable solutions."
Building on 15 years of experience in the critical infrastructure market, Rizzo joined the Lee Technologies team in 2004 and became one of the top-producing individual sales performers in the commercial market. In late 2008, Tony accepted a new role: building a government-focused vertical market entry strategy.
"Lee Technologies' public sector division is now positioned for even greater growth in the future," added Newstrom.
