Lee Technologies Names Anthony Rizzo as Vice President, Public Sector
FAIRFAX, VA; August 1, 2008 – Lee Technologies, a leading provider of mission-critical infrastructure solutions that enable commercial enterprises and government agencies to avoid disaster and mitigate risk to their technology facilities, today announced that Anthony Rizzo has been named Vice President, Public Sector. Rizzo, a 13-year veteran of the mission-critical infrastructure space who has been with Lee Technologies since 2004, will focus on expanding and strengthening the firm’s public sector presence and ensuring that the mission-critical infrastructure needs of government clients will be met. “During his four years with the company, Anthony has consistently demonstrated a deep and wide understanding of the government market, as well as an innate ability to grasp client business needs and the mission-critical solutions best suited to solve them,” said John Lee, Chairman and CEO, Lee Technologies. “At the same time, he has proven himself to be a tremendous leader that I am fully confident will drive the public sector team to success and growth.” Market research firm INPUT predicts that the amount being spent on the outsourcing of application management and services –including data centers – will grow at an average rate of 7% annually over the next five years. At the same time, the AFCOM Data Center Institute projects that the number of qualified senior-level professionals will decrease 50% by 2015 – a problem that will be particularly acute in the Federal sector as it braces for an exodus of retiring employees in the coming years. These market forces create an immediate need – and opportunity – for a solutions provider with a proven track record in designing, managing, protecting and staffing a government organization’s mission-critical infrastructure. “Lee Technologies has already experienced tremendous success in working with both civilian and military agencies to address their most complex mission-critical infrastructure challenges, and all of the pieces are in place for even greater penetration into this market,” said Rizzo. “I’m excited to lead an immensely talented team that has the knowledge and resources at its disposal to bring industry best practices and proven solutions to the government market.” Rizzo previously served as Regional Sales Director at Lee Technologies. Prior to joining the company, Rizzo served as a manufacturer’s representative for firms including United Power and LEA International, selling mission-critical equipment and services to state and local government agencies, Fortune 500 enterprises and the broader contracting community.
